Jane, mother of three and an educator of 30 years, has extensive
teaching experience in the stock market. She has her master's
degree in College Student Personnel and taught economics and finance
at the high school level. Jane's unique program teaches the stock
market through several different options.
Jane is a seasoned lecturer and conference speaker on the creative
teaching methods she uses in the classroom.
She participated in the New York Stock Exchange Program called
"Teach the Teachers" in the summer of 1991. Jane has completed
seminars at Disney World in marketing and communication, she was
an academic advisor at the college level in the summer of 1998
and has been a member of the Alumni Association Budget Requests
committee at a local university. Jane has also received the honor
of being named the Northwest Ohio Economics Teacher of the Year.
Jane's stock market unit has been in place for more than 25 years
and during these years her students invested REAL MONEY in the
stock market. Through her partnerships with local businesses,
Jane's classroom has become the model upon which many classrooms
will be built.
Jane developed I'd Rather Be A Bull Than A Bear because
she firmly believes that the educational market desperately needs
programs that provide students with strong, functional, financial
information that can easily translate into real-life experiences.
